Club members are encouraged to undertake umpiring accreditatation to learn the rules and improve their understading of the game.

There are five levels of accreditation

• Community Umpire
• Beginner Umpire
• Development Umpire
• Advanced Umpire
• National Umpire

Completing your Community Level accreditation doesn't cost anything and has two steps:

• Hockey specific online training program - including an applied learning quiz which takes approximately half an hour to an hour to complete
• A practical evaluation of one match as an umpire (45mins minimum).
