Message to Forestville HC Community:

Dear Panthers, Panther parents and supporters,

It is with great excitement that we announce the Forestville Hockey Club has now received formal written consent from the Mininster for Planning to proceed with building our planned new home at Unley High School.

Preliminary work on the new pitch is scheduled to commence in the coming few weeks, starting with minor early works commencing the week of 20th November, followed by securing the site with a safety fence shortly after.

For those people that provided input to our planned facility we advise that a number of comments were taken up and changes made to both site operating arrangements and design factors such as;
o   Inclusion of plastics filtration traps at all drainage points around the pitch surface to reduce risk of microplastics escape to the storm water system.
o   Locking off direct access to the facility from the western boundary to reduce risk of traffic congestion at the ends Kyre and Seafield Avenues.

We look forward to providing updates as activities progress.

Paul Blenkiron
FHC President

Acknowledging Funding Support

At the conclusion of the 2022 season Forestville Hockey Club would like to acknowledge the funding support we have received from the State and Local governments for our Junior program.

The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing have again supported our club through the Sports Voucher scheme which subsidises the membership fees for eligible junior members. In 2022 the scheme was expanded to increase the number of members eligible for the subsidy.

The City of Unley has again provided grant funding to support our Junior development programs. The 2022 grant continues the support the City of Unley has provided the Club for many years.

The funding provided by both the State Government and the City of Unley help the Club to minimise the cost of junior participation in hockey.
